[NA-Discuss] Support for a new initiative within At-Large

All,

My earlier brief comment of support to Garth was just to let him know I
was with him on this. I now believe it too brief to express the
importance of his effort, thus this email.

Most broadly, having an independent entity to oversee these issues is
vital. With these questions being central to the ongoing global
discussions about IANA / NTIA issues, Garth's paper needs attention now.
(My own interactions with IANA/ICANN with regard to the .nyc TLD left me
less than satisfied. Time permitting, I'd like to be more engaged in
those discussions. So I'm delighted to see Garth's paper. )

Beyond the specific abuses detailed in his report, I found the
relationships between the various executives eye opening. I urge all to
read the document.

Best,

Tom Lowenhaupt, Director
Connecting.nyc Inc.
