[NA-Discuss] DOODLE / Community Call on IPv6

Dear All,

Following the recent news on IPv6, the At-Large Staff has been asked to
organize a community briefing call on the issue.

Leo Vegoda, Operational Excellence Officer IANA at ICANN, will talk about
the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 and touch on several issues, including:

Historical/Technical Aspects
* Brief history of IPv4/IPv6
* Difference between IPv6 and IPv4
* Current status of the transition
* Operational aspects/Technical challenges

Policy Aspects
* ICANN’s Role in the transition from IPv4 to IPv6
* Current policy situation and future challenges
* How are Internet users affected by the transition?
* Practical steps for At-Large to help with the implementation of IPv6

The teleconference will be moderated by the ALAC Chair, Olivier
Crépin-Leblond and take about 45 ­ 60 minutes. Following the presentation,
the participants will have the opportunity to engage in a discussion on IPv6
with Leo and Olivier.
