4.ALAC Member Requirements and Responsibilities

4.1 Agree to abide by these RoP and other requirements as may be agreed 
to by the ALAC from time to time.

4.2 Serve on behalf of the ALAC and the At - Large Community by acting 
for the good of the entire Community.

4.3 Submit a Statement of Interest (SoI) including basic professional 
information, in a format agreed to by the ALAC, and keep that SoI up to 
date.

4.4 Attend all ALAC meetings, and to the extent that such participation 
from time to time may not be possible, provide advance notice of the 
planned absence where practical.

4.5 Prepare for and actively participate in all ALAC discussions, 
including face-to -face meetings, teleconferences, e-mail lists, wikis 
and other means of interaction as agreed to by the ALAC.

4.6 Take part in all ALAC consensus decisions and votes except for those 
requiring attendance at a meeting where the ALACMember is not present.

4.7 Play a leadership role in representing the interests of Internet 
users within ICANN.

4.8 Actively participate in ALAC WTs, and preferably in WTs sponsored by 
other ICANN bodies as well. Unless otherwise specified, such 
participation is as an individual and not formally representing the 
ALAC. Preferably, the ALAC Member will also take a leadership position 
within one or more of the WTs in which they participate.

4.9 Should a situation arise where a person can no longer reasonably 
(currently and ongoing) carry out the obligations of a role, be obliged 
to either resign or otherwise ensure that the ALAC and At -Large are 
well -served.

4.10 Abide by other r esponsibilities more fully discussed in the 
Adjunct Document Position Description for ALAC Members and Appointees

	

4.Requisitos y responsabilidades de los Miembros del ALAC

4.1 Estar de acuerdo en cumplir con estas RoP y otros requisitos, 
conforme pueda ocasionalmente ser acordado por el ALAC.

4.2 Servir en nombre del ALAC y la Comunidad At - Large, actuando por el 
bien de toda la Comunidad.

4.3 Presentar una Declaración de Interés (SOI) que incluya información 
básica de carácter profesional, en un formato acordado por el ALAC, y 
mantenerla actualizada.

4.4 Asistir a todas las reuniones del ALAC y, en la medida en que esa 
participación pueda ocasionalmente no ser posible, avisar con antelación 
de la ausencia planeada, cuando sea factible.

4.5 Prepararse y participar activamente en todos los debates del ALAC, 
incluidas las reuniones presenciales, teleconferencias, listas de correo 
electrónico, wikis y otros medios de interacción según lo acordado por 
el ALAC.

4.6 Tomar parte en todas las decisiones de consenso y votaciones del 
ALAC a excepción de aquellas que requieran la asistencia a una reunión 
en la cual el miembro del ALAC no esté presente.

4.7 Desempeñar un rol de liderazgo en la representación de los intereses 
de los usuarios de Internet en la ICANN.

4.8 Participar activamente en los WTs del ALAC y, preferiblemente, 
también en los WTs propuestos por otros organismos de la ICANN. A menos 
que se especifique lo contrario, tales participaciones serán en calidad 
de individuo y no en representación formal del ALAC. Preferiblemente, el 
Miembro del ALAC también tomará una posición de liderazgo dentro de uno 
o más de los WTs en los que participe.

4.9 Si surgiese una situación en la cual una persona ya no pudiese 
razonablemente (en la actualidad y en forma continua) llevar a cabo las 
obligaciones de un rol, estará obligado a dimitir o a garantizar de otro 
modo que el ALAC y At Large - estén bien atendidos.

4.10 Cumplir con otras responsabilidades presentadas en mayor detalle 
como parte del Documento Adjunto Descripción de Puesto para los Miembros 
y Designados del ALAC.
