Estimados,


Les estoy escribiendo para compartirles los avances en la Estrategia LAC de
ICANN, específicamente en el Proyecto 2 de Comunicaciones y para
solicitarles su colaboración.


Como una de las Co-Chair de este Proyecto 2 en estos momentos estamos
trabajando con la colaboración de Natalia Enciso de LACRALO y Alexandra
Dans de Comunicaciones de ICANN.


Para facilitar los avances de este Proyecto, el mismo se desdobló en 3
sub-grupos:


1) Inventario de materiales de difusión y de creación de capacidades
existente.

2) Sitio Web de LAC.

3) Prensa


Actualmente estoy liderando la realización del inventario de materiales
existentes que puedan servir para difusión de ICANN y para creación de
capacidades. Este inventario tiene por objetivos:


a)  determinar qué material existe y en qué idioma (español, inglés y/o
portugués, que son los más relevantes para la región de LAC)

b) determinar cuáles de estos materiales son necesarios traducir a los
idiomas de la región

c) identificar qué material es necesario elaborar tanto para difusión de
ICANN como para creación de capacidades, especialmente para quienes se
acercan por primera vez a ICANN.


Para la realización de este inventario es que estamos necesitando de su
colaboración, especialmente porque quienes participan en determinada
constituency/comunidad de ICANN tienen mayores facilidades para identificar
qué materiales existen, cuáles son necesarios traducir a un idioma
faltante, y cuáles son necesarios elaborar porque no existen.


Por lo tanto, los invitamos a colaborar con esta actividad. En el siguiente

*Next Steps Communications Project LAC Strategy: we need your collaboration*


Dear All,



I am writing to share the progresses made in ICANN’s LAC Strategy,
specifically in the Project 2 on Communications. I would like to ask for
your collaboration.


As one of the Co-Chair of this Project 2, I am currently working in
collaboration with Natalia Enciso from LACRALO and Alexandra Dans from
ICANN.


To facilitate the progress of this project, it was divided into 3
sub-activities:


1) Inventory of ICANN’s outreach and capacity building materials.

2) LAC Web Site.

3) Press.


I am currently leading the inventory activity with the aim of defining:


a) Which material already exists and in which languages (English, Spanish
and / or Portuguese, which are the most relevant to the LAC region)

b) Which of these materials we need to translate into the languages of the
region.

c) Which new materials we need to develop, both for ICANN’s outreach and
capacity building activities, especially for those who are new to ICANN.


To achieve this task, we would need your collaboration, especially because
those involved in certain ICANN constituency/community have more
opportunities to identify which materials exist, which have to be
translated into the languages of our region and which new ones are needed.
