Carlton, all,

the concept with which we - mostly Esther Dyson and Denise Michel, then
the Evolution and Reform Committee which I chaired in the early 2000's -
designed the present At-Large representation and participation is "web of
trust."

The system can still be gamed and trust may be abused. A stronger
ree-certification process would be advisable in a next round of review.

But, more trnasparency, more airing of the real representation and impact
of the organizations, and less rhetoric, will surely help this system to
work better, and allay the patent need for refounding of LACRALO. More
focus on the job to be done and on building the capacity to do it has
never been more vital.

Let's recover he essential tasks from the fatally doomed General Assembly
as well. While at this, let me call on those people who are presenting
candidatures to an election that may never take place to put forward their
platforms, just in case. Less names, more action, ideas, and
accountability.
