    El Gobierno de Estados Unidos retira la demanda contra los dominios
    de Rojadirecta y la Corte ordena devolverlos

Casi 19 meses después de embargar los dominios rojadirecta.com y
rojadirecta.org, el Gobierno de los Estados Unidos de América ha
retirado su demanda contra dichos dominios y la Corte ha ordenado ya la
devolución de los mismos.

El 31 de Enero de 2011 el Gobierno de Estados Unidos embargaba nuestros
dominios rojadirecta.com y rojadirecta.org, con motivo de su iniciativa
llamada "Operation in our Sites". Inmediatamente iniciamos
conversaciones con el Gobierno, por medio de nuestros representantes
legales para este caso en San Francisco y Nueva York, a fin de conseguir
la devolución de los mismos. Dada la imposibilidad en esa fase de
recuperar los dominios de forma amistosa, presentamos una demanda contra
el Gobierno, el Ministerio de Seguridad Nacional y el Departamento de
Inmigración y Custodia de los Estados Unidos de América. En respuesta a
nuestra acción judicial y como requisito para mantener los dominios
embargados, el Gobierno procedió a demandar a ambos dominios, solicitud
que hoy ha retirado más de un año después y ha supuesto, casi al
instante, que la Corte del Distrito Sur de Nueva York ordenase la
devolución de los dominios.

Poco después de conocer la orden judicial iniciamos las gestiones con
las organizaciones responsables de todos los registros de dominios .com
y .org (Verisign y PIR respectivamente) para restablecer los dominios.
En las próximas horas Rojadirecta volverá a ser accesible desde
rojadirecta.com y rojadirecta.org, es decir, desde dominios que nunca
debieron ser censurados.

    The U.S. Government withdraws complaint against the Rojadirecta
    domains and the Court orders their return

Almost 19 months after having seized the domains rojadirecta.com and
rojadirecta.org, the U.S. Government has withdrawn its complaint against
these domains and the Court has already ordered their return.

On January 31, 2011 the U.S. government seized our domains
rojadirecta.com and rojadirecta.org as part of its operation "Operation
In Our Sites". We immediately initiated talks with the government,
through our legal representatives in San Francisco and New York, in
order to obtain the return of the same. Since it is impossible at this
stage to recover domains amicably, we filed a complaint against the
Government, the Department of Homeland Security and the Immigration and
Customs Enforcement agency of the United States of America. In response
to our complaint and as a requirement to keep the seized domains, the
Government proceeded to sue both domains, which it withdrew today more
than a year later and which has led, almost instantly, the Court of the
Southern District of New York to order the return of the domains.

Shortly after learning of the court order, we started proceedings with
the organizations responsible for all .com and .org domain registrations
(Verisign and PIR respectively) in order to restore the domains. In the
coming hours Rojadirecta will again be accessible from rojadirecta.com
and rojadirecta.org, that is from the domains that never should have
been censored.
