<div dir="ltr">I second Carlton statement, London being my first experience with ICANN and At-Large and LACRALO from the moment I met Lance at the station to our time working on the ATLAS II statement, I admittedly retired at 9pm way earlier than my fellows Lance, Carlton and Dev. Regardless of how busy or how tired he was Lance stuck to the task at hand and still made time to not to neglect any of the other sessions that needed his attention. A group of us worked until 5 o’clock in the morning to produce a document for submission. Many of members of the attending ALSs were asleep long before then. </div><div>As a founder member of LACRALO I continue to encourage my colleagues to form new ALSs so as to increase our participation. </div><div><br></div><div>My interest in serving also stems from the fact is that I believe I have a deep understanding of the needs of the region, in particular the Caribbean. I understand that critical it is that we play an active role in the management of the internet space. The challenges faced in the region are tremendous and one of the gateways to socioeconomic improvement will be via our front end and back end usage. To many us now ICANN is rarefied air. I will serve therefore to ensure that in some way I can make it more accessible and understandable to all. That is role of the At-Large.
