    Dear members of LACRALO,

     I hereby submit my statement of expression of interest for the position on the ICANN Nominating Committee. I have been linked to ICANN since 1999. However, it is since 2011 that I have maintained a more active participation in the region, especially during the periods in which I served as secretary, president and member of ALAC in LACRALO. I think these experiences have prepared me to contribute effectively to the NomCom. Likewise, the position of dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences of the Universidad Católica del Norte, which I have held since 2020 and which ends at the end of this year, can contribute to the work for which I am applying.

     During my time as president of LACRALO, I led important initiatives, including the mediation process that transformed our region, promoting more constructive and effective dialogue between all members. These experiences have provided me with critical skills in conflict management and cross-cultural collaboration, all essential to NomCom's mandate to select leaders who reflect ICANN's values and goals.

     Lastly, I speak and write English (an essential requirement for this position).

     I appreciate the trust placed in me and look forward to having the opportunity to serve our community in this new position.
