 This is a reminder that the 2023 call for nominations for LACRALO and At-Large leadership positions remains open until Friday, April 28.

 Selection schedule for ALAC members, RALO leaders and ALAC delegates for the NomCom:

 * April 17, 2023 - Announcement of the call for applications and Declaration of the candidate. (Except NARALO, which opened on April 13, 2023)

 * April 17 – April 28, 2023 - Nomination period (nominations accepted for 10 business days).

 * May 5, 2022 - Deadline for acceptance of nominations

 * May 8, 2023 - May 11, 2023- Calls with the candidates if the RALOs so wish.

 * May 12 - May 19, 2023 - Elections (if necessary, elections will begin no later than one week after the deadline for acceptance of nominations and end no later than two weeks after that deadline).

 * AGM 2023 [ ICANN78 ]: Newly elected ALAC members and RALO leaders will take their seats at the end of the AGM 2023 after the adjournment of the Board meeting on September 26, 2023.

 Nominations process:

 Nominations, including self-nominations, must be made directly to the LACRALO mailing list and by sending a note to At-Large staff. staff at atlarge.icann.org.

 All nominees are expected to submit a short “Expression of Interest” statement explaining why they believe they are a suitable candidate for At-Large staff: staff at atlarge.icann.org.

 All nominees must also accept or reject their nomination by MAY 05.

 IMPORTANT: Criteria for NomCom Delegates

 Specific criteria and requirements regarding the composition of the NomCom and NomCom delegates are described in the ICANN Bylaws in Article 8.

 Also, keep the following in mind when selecting and appointing your delegate to NomCom 2024:

 * Ineligibility for Service: Current or future ICANN employees or paid ICANN consultants (including the Ombudsman) are excluded from eligibility consideration as described in Article 8, Section 8.9 of the ICANN Bylaws https ://www.icann.org/resources/pages/governance/bylaws-en/#article8

 * The ICANN community is diverse and the composition of the NomCom must reflect this to fulfill its mission.

 * NomCom delegates must have a high-level network of contacts essential for candidate recruitment.

 * Delegate must be able to join monthly teleconferences. Please note that the NomCom's workload will increase significantly during the candidate evaluation process. Conference calls also take place more frequently during this time (usually weekly and call lengths can be up to three hours).

 * All NomCom delegates must have the ability to travel and participate in ICANN public meetings and NomCom meetings upon request (travel and hotel accommodations will be provided for all approved meetings). If travel is restricted, NomCom delegates will meet virtually.

 IMPORTANT: RALOs may recommend one or more candidates to the ALAC. NomCom delegates are appointed by the ALAC. Therefore, RALO recommendations are not binding.
