 that the call for nominations for 2020 is now open to fill positions 
 as ALAC members, RALO leaders and ALAC delegates to the NomCom. 

 * Open positions: * 



 LACRALO positions that are open are detailed below. Please take note of 
 the subregions of which they must be candidates according to LACRALO 
 Principles of operation 

 and the draft Rules of Procedure. 



 - * President-elect - CENTRAL AMERICA * (SUBREGION TO: Belize, Costa Rica, El 
 Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama). Note: this position is 
 currently vacant, due to the resignation of the owner. The president chooses

 - * ALAC: * The term for the ALAC will extend from the end of 2020 Annual

 In accordance with the operating principles of LACRALO

 LACRALO members who wish to be nominated for leadership positions should 
 meet the following requirements: 

 1. * Regional rotation *: Confirm that you are a member of an ALS of 
 country corresponding to the position to which you are applying. Only 
 Organizations that have been formally accredited to LACRALO (ALS) can 
 participate in the election as nominators or nominees to celebrate

 * Criteria for NomCom delegates *: 

 The NomCom is responsible for selecting the members of the ICANN Board, ALAC, 
 ccNSO and GNSO. This is a very important role and all candidates must 
 meet important criteria 

 - Familiarity with ICANN groups appointed by the NomCom (Board, 
 ALAC, GNSO, ccNSO). 
 - Ability to judge people (such as interviewing and hiring). 
 - Comfortable and preferably fluent in English (listening, reading, 
 Speaking). 
 - Good online skills, such as Google and social media. 
 - Time commitment: you must be willing to spend considerable time 
 tight deadlines (March-June). It will involve traveling up to 4 meetings. 
 - Ability to work in a group environment, defending what you believe 
 in a discussion with other "strong" people, but at the same time, it must be a 
 good listener and be willing to change your mind if someone else has a good 
 argument. Diplomacy is important.
