Dear Vanda, we are the only RALO that has not completed its voting process:
We must remember that the previous liechtenstein, without a vote, extended his term of office for an important period. Just to get all the Ralos to vote at the same time.
Now we are the only one that is not complying with the voting dates.
I also have to remember that there is a deadline to inform travelers to ICANN 66. And if we continue like this, we will surely not meet that date.
In the WG we said that this proposal could not be implemented due to lack of analysis of the total and the need of our Ralo vote, as proposed by the WG.
How long do you think your proposal can take?
Regards

Alberto Soto

Dear friends

>From my view, Carlton raised an interesting point alerting, as a truth, that once we start the rotation process, stop it will be prejudice some sub regions, no matter which.
As such, in this point I totally agree with Carlton that once starts it is done.
By the other way, we need to respect our principles of community participation.
My proposal to allow us to proceed, respecting the community, is the following:
Let's write to clear additive to our Rules of Procedure in force, to build a legal base. With this in hand, let's send a written - clear and transparent - explanation of the process that brought us here, back to mediation agreement, operative principles, rotation sequence agreement and the election for 2019 and let's ask LACRALO community just to vote Yes or No .Once we have the votes - majority wins and we proceed from there.

If we have an agreement here, I can offer to write a draft of this additive and other native speakers will correct both text and we will draft a clear statement of the whole process asking the staff to proceed to a web poll.
Once it is done, we can ask for candidates to present themselves and the election will follow its process as normally.

Appreciate any comment
Kisses to all

Hi Sergio:
There appears to be a misunderstanding so let me re-emphasize.

If the proposal is accepted, it is the entirety of the proposal thatise, not parts of it.

My # 1 says the rotation principle is operationalized starting 2019. That is, the only element missing is the formal recording in the successor RoP.

My # 2 adopted the structure of the region in sub-region format by simply labeling the collection of countries assigned for each sub-region. The sub-regions were established in Puerto Rico.

My # 3 laid out the order of the rotation.

All the RoP will be formally adopted and maybe, extend the details.

Unless we wish to undermine the rotation principle in action, the labels and order of rotation are immutable.

That is to say, they may not be changed without damage to the effect of the rotation principle.

Best,
-Carlton
