Se publica libro sobre la historia de LACNIC y su comunidad

Tras intensos meses de trabajo, acaba de publicarse un libro que recoge la historia del Registro de Direcciones de Internet de América Latina y el Caribe (LACNIC) y su comunidad.
A lo largo de más de 200 páginas, la publicación “El desarrollo de la Comunidad de LACNIC. Una historia en construcción<http://bit.ly/2JMwIBR>” recorre los 17 años de vida del RIR, explorando desde su génesis hasta la consolidación actual de su ADN.
Con el apoyo de ICANN, Internet Society y LACTLD, la autora del libro, Carolina Aguerre, investigó las múltiples historias y actores que posibilitaron la creación de LACNIC y logró así sumergirse en los hitos más sobresalientes de los últimos 20 años de la Internet regional.

Após intensos meses de trabalho, acaba de ser publicado um livro que inclui a história do Registro de Endereçamento da Internet da América Latina e o Caribe (LACNIC) e sua comunidade.
Ao longo de mais de 200 páginas, a publicação “O desenvolvimento da Comunidade de LACNIC. Uma história em construção<http://bit.ly/2JMwIBR>” abrange os 17 anos de vida do RIR, explorando desde sua gênese até a consolidação atual do seu ADN.
Com o apoio da ICANN, Internet Society e LACTLD, a autora do livro, Carolina Aguerre, pesquisou as múltiplas histórias e atores que possibilitaram a criação de LACNIC e assim conseguiu imergir nos momentos mais marcantes dos últimos 20 anos da Internet regional.

New Book Published on the History of LACNIC and Its Community (Available in Spanish)

After months of intense of work, a book has been published that tells the history of the Internet Addresses Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC) and its community.
Over more than 200 pages, The Development of the LACNIC Community. A History Under Construction<http://bit.ly/2JMwIBR> covers the 17 years of the RIR's existence, addressing everything from its inception to its current consolidation.
With the support of ICANN, the Internet Society and LACTLD, Carolina Aguerre, author of the book, researched the multiple stories and actors that made the creation of LACNIC possible and was thus able to immerse herself in the most outstanding milestones of the last 20 years of the regional Internet.
