[lac-discuss-en] 2019 ICANN NomCom - June Update - end of ICANN 65

The ICANN Nominating Committee (NomCom) delegates and Leadership team met at
ICANN 65 in Marrakesh, Morocco to interview, further evaluate and select
candidates from the 2nd intercessional short-list.

This was a continuation of the candidate selection phase in the NomCom proce
ss.

Selections for the most qualified candidates were completed for these 10
open seats:


   - 3 seats for the ICANN board
   - 1 seat for the PTI board
   - 3 seats for each of these ALAC regions: Africa, LAC & Asia Pacific
   - 1 seat for ccNSO
   - 2 seats for the GNSO

New selectees will officially assume their roles in Montréal, Canada at the
conclusion of the ICANN 66 Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for
November ; however public announcements of the selections should be
published in late August or early September 2019
