[lac-discuss-en] About member NOMCOM

Dear all
I agree with Sergio's position. However, I would like to add a few other
comments.
We had serious distrust and acrimony within LACRALO with regard to similar
behaviour in the past. We have worked hard, to overcome serious mistrust
among us. After the San Juan meeting, we were in a good place, with
consensus among all, and an agreement to move forward and focus on the
work. This feels like a very retrograde step, and I am afraid that it may
take us back to a place that no one wants to return to.
It is clear that Tracy Hackshaw WAS in a government position and a member
of the GAC. It is equally clear that he is no longer in that position, and
no longer a member of the GAC. If we are to say that persons in LACRALO
cannot work to make their livelihood in jobs for the government, or
business, or any other sector except that of individual users, then most of
us would be ineligible, or independently wealthy!
Tracy was instrumental in forming ISOC-TT. How can that not qualify him as
ISOC-TT is an ALS?
Can we please put this to rest and continue with the work that we are here
to do?
Regards
Jacqueline Morris
