I continue with the same proposal that I have done for years: for NomCom, to have the best performance for the chosen ones, my proposal is for one to remain in the position for 2 years, so I would vote to keep Jose Ovid for another year, if he wants.

Dear All,
On behalf of ALAC President Alan Greenberg, the nomination period for 2017 for ALAC members, RALO Leadership, and ALAC and NomCom Delegates is now open.
Open Positions:
Please refer to 2017 ALAC and RALO Elections, Selections and Appointments < https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/2017+ALAC+and+RALO+Elections%2C+Selections+and+Appointments>
Deadlines:
• ALAC: Deadlines for ALAC positions will start from the end of AGM 2017 to the end of AGM 2019.
• RALO Leadership: The terms for the RALO leadership will be those indicated on the individual RALO election pages. All terms will begin at the end of the 2017 AGM.
• ALAC Delegates to the NomCom: NomCom voting members are nominated for a one-year term, beginning at the end of the AGM of 2017 and ending at the end of the AGM of 2018 and may be re-designated for a consecutive term of One year, subject to the requirements of the ICANN Bylaws, see < https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/governance/bylaws-en#XI-2.4e>
Selection Calendar for ALAC members and ALAC delegates to the NomCom:
* May 1, 2017 - Announcement of nominations and nominee statements. *
* May 1 to May 12 2017 - Period of Nominations (nominations are accepted for 10 business days).
* May 19 - Deadline for acceptance of nominations.
* May 22 to May 26 2017 - Elections (if required, elections will begin no later than one week after the deadline for acceptance of nominations and end no later than two weeks after said deadline).
* 2017 AGM [ICANN 60] - Newly elected representatives will sit in the ALAC summary session during the 2017 AGM.
* EXCEPTION OF NARALO: Please note that the calendar for the selection of members of NARALO before the ALAC is different from the calendar mentioned above. Please see page NARALO 2017 Elections < https://community.icann.org/display/NARALO/NARALO+2017+Elections>
Process for Nominations:
All nominees should submit a brief statement explaining why they believe they are suitable candidates for the positions and send it to the <mailto:staff at atlarge.icann.org> At-Large staff.All nominees must also complete or update their Declarations of Interest (see: < https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+New+SOIs+Workspace>
