Subject: RV: New Public Comment: Revised ICANN Procedure for Handling WHOIS Conflicts with Privacy Law: Process and Next Steps

Estimates, this is a publication open to public comment, and closes on June 12, 2017 at 23:55.

I think the intervention of our RALO is important. Whois and data privacy have been singled out and demanded by several members as substantial issues.

Our way of collaborating is to read it, to try to talk with the different interested parties in each country where we live: government, associations of lawyers, for example. Talk to them and ask for their opinion about likely conflicts with local laws.

This will contribute to the generation of policies within ICANN. And with this work, we will also be demonstrating that we collaborate in the development of policies, something that ITEM is saying that we do not do.

 Best regards

 Alberto Soto
