Dear All,

This note is to announce that the process for requesting additional budget has begun. This process refers to a dedicated part of the total ICANN budget that is separated to fund specific requests from the community that are not already included in ICANN's current budget. Additional FY19 budget requests will cover the period from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

The information referred to this process is available in the following At-Large FY19 Additional Budget Request Workspace wiki [community.icann.org], including information on deadlines, deadlines, process details, principles and presentation formats.

The ALAC Subcommittee on Finance and Budget [community.icann.org] (FBSC) plays a major role in reviewing all additional At-Large FY19 orders for submission to ICANN. IMPORTANT: In 2016, FBSC members agreed on the following criteria for At-Large proposals:

Scope "Outreach" should not be the major focus.It encourages the submission of orders to finance activities to improve the relationship with existing members of the community. If orders are placed on "Outreach" they should be prosecuted most likely through the CROP program and not this special process. Proposals should include ways in which the ALAC and / or the At-Large community is sought to be more effective and contribute to the development of the At-Large community. RALO requests must go through a bottom-up process within of your RALO before being sent for consideration by the FBSC. Orders must be explicitly supported by the RALO representative in the FBSC.Staff expects that core resources for community communications / impressions will be supported through ICANN's current budget, but that community requests for impressions, etc. will be accepted in addition should expectations change. Specific proposals for Communications resources beyond simple printing and editorial functions
  should be prepared and sent.
