 an excerpt from my note last night about the voting system:


 Each voter (member of ALAC) notes next to the names of the candidates / as a number between 1 and 3 indicating the place in who has it on your preferences: 1 for the most preferred and 3 for the less. When voting ends add up these numbers. 


 So who has more votes "1" is the person you are most preferentially and who has more votes "3" the least. Al add, who has more small numbers (more high preferences) has the least sum ('ve scored more times small numbers), and whom more voters have assigned preferences low has scored more times "3" and therefore has the highest sum . 


 A planchette would illustrate to voters A, B and C and candidates D, E and F, in one possible example: 


    ABC 
 D 1 3 1 
 E 2 2 2 
 F 3 1 3 


 The candidate D sum 5 polls and earns; E, 6, Secondly, and F 7, third place. A and C voted by maximum preference the candidate D and B voted what more possible against D.
