 Dear, 




 I am writing to inform you about the latest activities in the 
 Working Group (Steering Committee) ICANN Strategy for 
 Latin America and Caribbean. 




 As you know this LAC Strategic Plan was presented to the 
 global community in the ICANN meeting in Beijing (( 
 http://beijing46.icann.org/node/37485) and then in the LACNIC meeting 
 Medellin, the regional community. 




 In the following link you will find different versions in English 
 and in Spanish, presentations ICANN Strategy for America

 The Working Group (Steering Committee) decided that five projects, the 
 total of 41 projects, the ICANN Strategic Plan for LAC were 
 prioritized beginning with its implementation to see some of their 
 results in the ICANN meeting in Argentina, in November this year. 




 At the end of this email is a list of the projects to be 
 work on this first stage and a brief explanation of each. 




 The Working Group LAC Strategy (Steering Committee) is opening 
 invitation to all members of the community who want to join a 
 execution of projects. Working groups will be formed for each 
 project, with a leader in charge, consisting of members of different 
 ICANN constituencies and also to ICANN external members who are 
 interested in participating in the implementation.The task of each of these 
 groups to address each of these projects, achieve interest and 
 engage these members, individuals and / or organizations, 
 mostly regional, but also global, join in this stage 
 implementation. 




 Please consider carefully these projects and if interested, 
 Please note that part of this stage of the Strategy 
 require a lot of commitment and dedication to carry out this task

 Description: Implement a communication plan to explain in a 
 simple and clear economic and social benefits of getting involved

 2.4.1, 4.1.1, 4.1.4, 4.3.5. 






 3) * Capacity Building Workshop on Security, Stability and 
 * Resilience. Description: Articulate and deepen the organization 
 capacity building workshops on Stability, Security and 
 Resilience of the DNS, in coordination with ccTLDs, LACTLD and LACNIC.


 Main Project code in the LAC Strategy Plan: 2.6.1 








 4) * Emergency Response Team for ccTLDs. * 


 Description: Creating an emergency response team available and 
 stable to address crisis situations in registries (registries) 
 vulnerable in the region, where ICANN can provide funding and LACTLD 
 to coordinate the implementation of the deployment.
