Dear all,

I am writing to inform you about the latest activities of the Latin
American and Caribbean (LAC) Steering Committee.

The LAC Steering Committee presented the ICANN's LAC Strategic Plan at the
ICANN Beijing meeting in April 2013 (http://beijing46.icann.org/node/37485)
and at the LACNIC meeting in Medellin in May 2013.

You can view the English and Spanish versions of the presentations of the
ICANN's LAC Strategic Plan at https://community.icann.org/x/g4REAg

The LAC Steering Committee then decided which 5 projects out of 41 projects
in the LAC Strategic Plan should be prioritized for implementation to see
some of their results by the ICANN meeting in Argentina in November 2013.

At the end of this email is a list of the 5 projects are going to work on
this first stage and a brief explanation of each.

The LAC Steering Committee is opening the invitation to all members of the
community who want to join the project implementation.
Working groups will be formed for each project, with a leader in charge,
consisting of members from different constituencies of ICANN and also
outside ICANN members who are interested in participating in the
implementation. It is the task of each of these working groups to address
each of these projects, achieve interest and involve these members,
individuals and / or organizations, mostly regional, but also global, join
in this stage of implementation.

Please consider carefully these projects and if you are interested, please
note that part of this stage of the Strategy will require a lot of
commitment and dedication to carry out this task through to implementation
and monitoring.

If there are any questions or comments, I am available to help and to serve
as a link with the other members of the LAC Steering Committee.

Best Regards,

Dev & Fatima
