Dear All,

The deadline for the submission of nominations for the LACRALO
representative to serve on ALAC from 2011-2013 was August 31 2011.
One nomination was received:

* Natalia Enciso, from APADIT, Paraguay

Natalia has accepted her nomination, and as discussed on the LACRALO
mailing list
(https://community.icann.org/x/CgBsAQ), there will be a
LACRALO teleconference call.

This LACRALO conference call is scheduled for Tuesday September 13
2011 at 21:00 UTC.

The intent of the teleconference is for a cordial discussion with the
candidate and for the candidate to answer any questions from
LACRALO ALS members. Questions for the candidate can be posted on the
LACRALO list before the Tuesday call.

If the conference call on Tuesday September 13 2011 is quorate (8 or
more ALSes are attending the call) and unless there was a request by
any ALS to call for a vote, then we would attempt to have the one
nominated candidate acclaimed by consensus by those attending the
call.

If the conference call is NOT quorate, then a simple majority of ALSes
in LACRALO (>18 ALSs) is needed to express support for Natalia Enciso
to be confirmed as LACRALO representative to ALAC for 2011-2013.
A BigPulse poll will be created and ALS representatives will be
emailed instructions on how they can express their support.

The question on the poll would be "Do you support the nomination of
Natalia Enciso as the LACRALO representative to ALAC from the close of
the ICANN Annual General Meeting in 2011 until the close of the ICANN
AGM in 2013?"
with the possible choices of "Yes" or "No"

Once more than 18 ALSes have confirmed their support for Natalia
Enciso as LACRALO representative to ALAC, then Natalia Enciso will be
confirmed as LACRALO representative to ALAC from 2011 to 2013.

Kind Regards,

Dev Anand Teelucksingh
