>From AGEIA DENSI Argentina we are in agreement with supporting the extension of
the mandates of the President, Andrés Piazza, and of the Secretary, Dev Anand, of
LACRALO, for two reasons main:
- because he was one of the subjects discussed by most of the ALSs active and
on that we arrived at a consensus in the meetings of the WG, in
teleconferencings and in the meetings that we had in Cartagena.
- because we are in agreement with the good work made by the Presidentand
the Secretary, specially by the results obtained in the last
time.
In addition we considered that there is a consensus in general on the points
discussed in the WG of modification of bylaws: extension of
mandates of President and Secretary, a year to two years; and Participation
of the ALSs. It would only lack to discuss some details in individual,
fundamentally of writing, reason why these modifications wouldbe
almost ready to be put under voting.
Also it seems to us advisable that those points that arose in
last meeting, and that was not including in the mandate of theoriginal WG,
like the proposal to allow the re-election of the ALAC representatives
(at the moment limited a period of two years without possibility of
re-election), is put under an ample discussion in all the region, stops
to listen to the opinions of all the ALSs, being created a WGfor such aim and
for a next modification of bylaws.
This last point in individual must be separated and differentiated from
points on which already we arrived at a consensus in general and are almost
ready to be put under voting.
