Dear LACRALO companions; 
As you know from the conclusion of the meeting of Seul, my begins 
period of 2 years like representative of the LACRALO before the ALAC. 
I was invited to the meeting of Seul to accompany the last meeting like 
representative of Jose Ovid to whom I am replacing.  
I would like to do a brief summary to them of the happened thing in the 6 days of 36º 
Meeting of ICANN. 
 
The main subjects were IDNs, IDN Fast Track; new gTLDs ( 
rough draft: version 3 that includes a new material on protection to marks 
registered and prevention on malicious conducts and also the impact that 
the new ones, gTLD will bring the users in general; and the agreement model 
Post-JPA-ICANN. 
 
There were than 100 meetings encounter organized more by more than 10 different ones 
groups! For example the GAC, the GNSO and the AT-Large we had meetings all 
the days and all of them very extensive and intense. Also there were groups of 
work like the one of the Process of IDN ccTLD Fast Track, DNSSEC, the 2009 RAA, 
etc.  
 
The opening ceremony was different from all the others, where the new one 
president and CEO of ICANN Rod Beckstrom gave to us with a small show of

And speaking of music it seems that from this meeting there will be one 
musical confraternización in the next meetings where each oneof 
participants will be able to show their musical abilities. Forthe next one 
meeting that will be celebrated in Nairobi-Kenya in March, theICANN president 
it promised publicamente that it will sing for the public present. 
 
The members of ALAC we had the opportunity to have breakfast with the members 
of the Board, face to face, in where we had the opportunity tospeak of 
subjects that interest and have priority to us for the ALAC. Most of 
members of the Board participated in the breakfast, which leftan pleasant one us 
sensation of which every time we are being listened and being understood.  
 
In the Public Forum, as he is habitual, all the Board was present and that 
it wanted to speak with them and to pronounce itself had the opportunity to do it. And 
last day, like always, the presidents of all the groups members of 
ICANN resumidamente did use of the word counting which was thework 
made between the last meeting and the present one.
