Jackie,
I know that the person chosen will represent all of us.
My only point is since both candidates are very well qualified, we as one
part of the At-Large world representing the need of Latin America and the
Caribbean Internet users, propose and adhere to the Latin American person
that is running for that position.
After our proposal, ALAC will have the task to decide who is THE candidate
and our LACRALO Reps at ALAC before voting will have a clear understanding
of our willing.

The person who is chosen by the ALAC as Board Liaison should be a
representative of the GLOBAL At Large, and not of LAC or EU or NA or AFRI or
AP. To me, this sort of thinking is very parochial and narrow minded, and
will probably not lead to a decision which is in the best interests of ALAC
and the At Large.
I appreciate Alex's points re his support of Vanda, but I reiterate that the
document from LACRALO can list multiple names, and the EURALO has indeed
already submitted a 2-name listing to the ALAC.
It is NOT either/or.
Again, considering the number of candidates in the election, it's almost
certain that there will not be a clear winner on the first ballot, and the
election process that is used by the ALAC requires that the ALAC members who
will be voting choose MORE than ONE candidate on the ballot.

I believe that there are several excellent aspects very relatedin the table
for analysis. The proposal of ACUI in the sense that suggesting thename of

counts with the knowledge and the experience to solve problems in a scene
