1.   What issues being debated in ICANN do you believe are the most
important to your RALO? -

2.   How can we help make the time you spend on ICANN issues as valuable and
efficient to you as possible? -

THE REPRESENTATIVE COUNTRY ASSOCIATIONS ARE LARGELY VOLUNTEERS.  AS SUCH
THEIR TIME IS PRECIOUS.  YOU CAN ASSIST BY PROVIDING MORE MATERIAL TO
FACILITATE GREATER COMMUNICATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS WITHIN THE RESPECTIVE
COUNTRIES.  SEE 5 BELOW.

3.   What challenges and opportunities do you see for your RALO and for
At-Large more generally (in the context of ICANN work)? -

IN TRINIDAD THE INTERESTED PARTIES DO NOT COME TOGETHER FREQUENTLY ENOUGH TO
DISCUSS MATTERS OF RELEVANCE TO ICANN AND INTERNET GOVERNANCE.  THE
CHALLENGE IS TO CONVENE REGULAR FORUMS AND THE OPPORTUNITY IS TO GENERATE
DISCUSSIONS WITH STAKEHOLDERS WHO ALL WANT TO PLAY A MORE DEFINITIVE ROLE IN
INTERNET GOVERNANCE.

4.   How interaction between and within RALOs be increased? -

ONLINE FORUMS ARE DIFFICULT BECAUSE OF THE LANGUAGE BARRIER, BUT MAY BE THE
ONLY WAY TO GO.  QUARTERLY ONLINE DISCUSSIONS ON RELEVANT TOPICS WILL BE
USEFUL.

5.   What are the top three things you would like your RALO to achieve? -

RALO AS REPRESENTED BY THE ASSOCIATIONS IN THE RESPECTIVE COUNTRIES HAS TO
BE MORE PROACTIVE IN COMMUNICATIONS AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS.  WE ARE
DELIBERATING ON ISSUES BUT NOT COMMUNICATING ENOUGH TO THE STAKEHOLDERS.
THIS REQUIRES MORE OUTREACH BY RALO TO LIAISE WITH THE REPRESENTATIVE
COUNTRY ASSOCIATIONS TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE STAKEHOLDERS.

6.   What are the top three things you believe ICANN Staff could do to help
your RALO? -

ASSIST THE REPRESENTATIVE COUNTRY ASSOCIATIONS WITH COMMUNICATIONS TO
STAKEHOLDERS BY DRAFTING COMMUNIQUÉS, POSITIONS, PRESENTATIONS FOR
COMMUNICATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS (IN PARTICULAR GOVERNMENTS).

Recientemente ha recibido un correo del Staff At-Large (Frederic Teboul) con
unas preguntas sobre su ALS y su relación con el LACRALO y ICANN. Algunos de
ustedes ya han respondido. Hemos recibido un par de preguntas en relación
con este correo y, en este contexto, queremos darle más información.

Primero, queremos subrayar que este esfuerzo está destinado a ser un proceso
colaborativo. Le preguntamos esta información a fin de que podamos combinar
sus respuestas con las demás respuestas de la comunidad At-Large. Luego
haremos un resumen de las opiniones de la comunidad sobre su participación
en ICANN y sobre cómo se la podría propiciar. El resultado de esta encuesta,
un análisis de las tendencias observadas, así como nuestras propuestas de
cómo se podría atender a las necesidades de RALO por parte del Staff y de la

la independiente y separada "revisión de ICANN At-Large" que se está

Entendemos que está muy ocupado con sus obligaciones particulares y que el

hacer el Staff para ayudar a su RALO?
