Dear LACRALO members:

I am very happy to see so much activity and debate. It looks to me like the
next teleconference will be very useful. I hope many of you are able to join
it. We will announce the details of the teleconference soon.

LIST TRANSLATIONS:

In order to help the machine translation to produce the best possible
translation, I would like to remind you of a few simple things that you can
do:

1) Write in the language you write best in. I have noticed that many of the
postings appear to have been originally written in one language, and then a
machine translation made to english. Then, it is posted.

This guarantees that the translations that the list translation interface
uses will be extremely poor.

PLEASE: If you write best in Spanish, write in spanish and send it in
spanish to the list. The list translation will be much better.

2) Write in short sentences with simple grammar and good punctuation. This
will greatly improve the quality of translations.
