Dear ALT,

as discussed in the ALT conference call of Thursday 14 January 2015,
please be so kind to find attached the first draft of the ALAC GA and
ATLAS Budget Planning Proposal for a multi-year budget planning.
I will also be sharing this with the ALAC Finance & Budget Sub-Committee
for their feedback.

A couple of notes:

  * The document is aimed at several audiences:
      o the Board - but I am told that the majority of Board members
        understand the concept and support it
      o the ICANN's SOs and ACs - because we primarily need to sell the
        concept to them in light of the community probably being able to
        approve/reject the budget according to the CCWG Accountability
        proposal. This is likely to be the challenge for us
  * We could distribute this document with a companion document derived
    from the document that was drafted immediately prior to ATLAS II,
    that included a detailed set of activities that were going to take
    place in London. (with pictures etc.)
