[EURO-Discuss] Important: Lisbon GA planning and procedures

Dear all,

until the end of the registration deadline for the Lisbon 2013 GA, we have received 27 confirmations from our members what is more than 80 per cent of the current total (33). Thanks for your support!

These 27 participants were listed and sent to At-Large Staff and ICANN Constituency Travel who is preparing the booking arrangements with you at the moment. I assume, you will be contacted directly by CT during the next two weeks to handle your flight bookings with them. A complete list of travellers you can find here

Your hotel rooms in Lisbon are pre-booked already for the nights from Wednesday 19 and 20 June (incl. EuroDIG) in the Altis hotel what will be the venue for the GA and EuroDIG – see:

For Per diem arrangements you will be contacted at a later stage.

Please be aware that due to the high percentage of participation, our travel budget is rather tight and we can only offer low budget flights (by Easyjet and the like) wherever possible. But for short-distance flights to Lisbon we consider this as acceptable. To get an idea about potential adventures aspects of it, you can check the YouTube clip ;-)

As indicated before, those of you who would like to extend their stay in Lisbon for a cosy summer weekend should arrange this directly with CT for your individual booking – what shouldn’t effect higher flight fares however. Extra costs for hotel nights in Lisbon will be on your own expenses as well.

The planning and preparation of our Lisbon GA agenda will be discussed at our upcoming monthly calls (March and April). Besides the usual and statutory parts of the GA (Board report, re-elections etc.), we would like to draft an interesting *content part* with issues that are relevant for and desired by YOU. Please give us your inputs on the agenda setting and let us know your related ideas ASAP (or until middle of April latest) to compile a complete draft GA agenda in time. (Christoph and Dick submitted their ideas already – thanks!)
