Dear Rudi,

thanks for this message regarding your resignation from the new gTLD RG. And yes, I have noted your message from 15 June to this list indicating potential CoI concerning some applicants where you clearly announced your neutrality. Let me take the opportunity to thank you for this immediate transparency and - as mentioned in Prague - I have no doubt about your openness and integrity in any respect. 

As the user representation at ICANN is always struggling for an utmost transparency and accountability, I appreciate that we include the very factor of appearance into our considerations to make sure that this becomes a common standard for our credibility -- not only for our constituency. I therefore appreciate and respect this resignation as a best practice. 

If any other colleague from EURALO would like to step in and to take over this role in the new gTLD Review Group, please let me know ASAP.

For the moment, let me thank you for all your commitment you proofed for our community!
