Dear colleagues,

As you may remember I've posted on June 15th a message mentioning an unforeseen Conflict of Interest due to my election within the BoT of ISOC.
After having had the discussions during the ICANN meetings in Prague with regards to my position in the new GTLD Review Group and later talks to some members, I've decided to resign from the new GTLD Review Group as a member and this with respect to the neutrality and open discussion of the group itself. As many of you know, I've never illustrated favoritism or any other relationships that could damage my neutrality and the transparency with which I'm engaging myself in the tasks and missions of ALAC and EURALO.

In hope I will have another chance to bring in my knowledge and experiences in the near future, however I wish you all great and successful work and the necessary energy to accomplish the difficult tasks.

Kind regards,

Rudi Vansnick

>> Dear colleagues,
>>
>> For those not being involved or being a member of Internet Society, I have recently be elected member of the board of trustees of Internet Society global (HQ) (official announcement will follow soon). As such, it appears that, within the framework of my task in the Review Group team, I have to declare an unforeseen conflict of interest.
>>
>> As you can see, the Public Interest Registry (better known as PIR) has entered a few applications for NGO and ONG and others. The Internet Society is the sole incorporator and sole member of the Public Interest Registry (PIR). As such, being now a member of the board of ISOC, I have a conflict of interest for those applications. I will not comment nor discuss on the given applications during my task in the Review Group.
>>
>> I'm sorry to annoy you with this issue, however, maybe it is good that we all check if in someway we are not involved in applications as it happens to me now.
>>
>> Kind regards,
>>
