[EURO-Discuss] Announcement / 1st Invitation to the next EURALO GA in Belgrade

Dear all,

as repeatedly discussed at our last monthly calls, EURALO will convene its next General Assembly in the eve of the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG) on Sunday 29 May 2011, in the late afternoon in Belgrade. Further details on the exact time and venue will be communicated soon – we kindly ask you to note the date already.

The key issues of the next GA will be:
- formal approval of our Bylaw modifications
(according to the Bylaws, we need a two-third majority of our members and will therefore prepare a voting tool for it);
- discussion and approval of the Board report on EURALO activities
(the report will be circulated/submitted prior to the GA);
- election of the EURALO leadership (Chair and Secretariat function).

Unfortunately (and like for our last GA in Vilnius), we are still not in a position to provide travel funding to Belgrade for our members. But we still hope that several of you may participate at the next EuroDIG and can attend our GA.

In the coming weeks, we will send you the details of the voting tool for our Bylaw modifications and will invite you for a broad participation at this procedure. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
