Dr. Nii Quaynor is called the Father of the Internet in Africa. He's earned this informal title through decades of working to establish and expand the Internet on the African continent. He was the first African to serve on the ICANN Board of Directors, and has held a number of other prestigious posts. In 2007, he received the Internet Society's Jonathan B. Postel Service Award in recognition of his contributions.<br /><br />In this interview, Dr. Quaynor speaks with ICANN's Brad White about the positive changes he has seen over the 11 ICANN Public Meetings held in Africa. He praises the growing diversity of the African community, which includes a broader representation from various sectors, and much larger numbers of young people.</div>
