Yes, it was. ICANN never understand that they need to provide real use cases
for the data, collected. GDPR does allow such collection and processing, if
there is a need for it.

But ICANN failed to even understand this basic reasoning. I'm really sorry
about this.

OTOH, it's not a real case, but a low level decision. So let's hope, that
ICANN tries to learn something before failing finally.
