Any future regulation currently being negotiated has no impact 
whatsoever on the current legal circumstances.

Frankly it is ridiculous to receive a feedback question of "How long 
_are_ you allowed to stora the data then?" from ICANN when the waiver 
request clearly states that no storage beyond the service provision is 
permitted.

Similarly ridiculous is the fact that ICANN is ignoring the Art. 29 
working party letters with the reference that they are "just an advisory 
body", when every single member of this body is the authoritative party 
responsible for enforcing data protection in its EU member state. So 
would ICANN rather see the same letter being sent from each individual 
member of the working party?
