Dear members of the EURO-Discuss list!
Greetings from Chisinau, Moldova!

I am sending, as it has been suggested, a very short intro and a short
statement of interest in ALAC.

Short Intro
Veronica Cretu is the President of the "CMB" Training Center, Chisinau,
Republic of Moldova.

"CMB" Training Center is a non-governmental organization the mission of
which is promoting Innovations in Communication, Management and Business.
Mrs. Cretu has founded this NGO back in 2002 has been successfully running
it until now.

Mrs. Cretu holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomacy, with DiploFoundation,
Malta and her first degree is in English Philology, with the State
Pedagogical University of Moldova.

Along with the activities at the "CMB" Training Center in Moldova, Mrs.
Cretu is currently involved in the Internet Governance Capacity Building
Program with DiploFoundation. She has been acting as an online tutor and
online research supervisor in this Program since 2005.

Mrs. Cretu's areas of expertise are: Project Management, Human Resources
Management and Adult Education.

Mrs. Cretu's current areas of interest are: The role of IT in Diplomacy, The
Multi stakeholder partnerships in ICT for All, The Evolution and further
development of the Internet and the Role of IGF, Ways of improving literacy
and educational facilities as a means of reducing the digital divide and
improving accessibly in the developing countries, Promoting Multilingualism
and Cultural Diversity on the Internet, Role of E-education in Promoting
Access to Knowledge in the Developing Countries.

Interests in ALAC:

I would like to help to get internet end users - especially of developing
countries - involved in ICANN decision making processes, to strengthen civil
society in Eastern Europe and considering civil liberties in setting up
IT-infrastructure, promoting multilingualism and cultural diversity on the
Internet and support competition in Domain market.

I am willing to do outreach work in Eastern Europe and think that the fact
that I am fluent in Romanian, English and Russian is very helpful in doing
so.

I am committed to ALAC-ICANN goals and bylaws and consider consensus
decision making as very important for the committee-work. I attended two
ALAC outreach meeting (Prague and Athens last year).

For more information you can contact me at VeronicaC at diplomacy.edu/ Skype:
veronicaretu.

Thank you for your time!

Warmest regards,

Veronica Cretu
