thanks for the comment – from a personal view, I fully agree. SeB has the personal integrity to handle this with appropriate due diligence and care.

BUT:

As a lawyer, I may draw your attention to established practices. Without going into details, SeB is – legally speaking – considered as prejusticed (or inhibited) and thus, cannot act as an organiser of the election. It would be a clear reason for complaint and appeal. I have to speak with our penholder Florian Hule but, considering Swiss law, the Euralo Board has to act quickly, decide about the clear inhabitation of SeB and elect OCL as election organiser. Otherwise, we should do nothing because elections subject to review are best not done at all. A waste of time!

Thus, let’s add this point to the agenda and decide quickly as consensus is already achieved.

P.S. As the outgoing NomCom appointee, I am very happy to see the great slate of candidates for this highly time-consuming and challenging job. It is an excellent training on globalisation and its people – I was really impressed by the quality of people out t here. Globlaisation favours the sharing economy – not so much the sharing of resources – but much more the sharing of knowledge and know-how. Thus, if the resource issue is solved,  you have now people and concepts available that work in practice. No long struggling about possible options and solutions. It may see as a quantité neglishable but it is not. See the Corona crisis and how open bad decisions were taken with trementous consequences.

Great idea.
This said, knowing SeB, I must say that I have no doubt whatsoever that he would have conducted the election in a transparent and fair way - but we need also to be beyond possible criticism.
