I am in receipt of the email  below as well as your email to EuroDIG News.
Clearly we are going to be asked for confirmation whether EuroDIG will
host the meeting online or not. We need to discuss this in our meeting
this Thursday - is this confirmed?

Dear Colleagues,

Please see below the message from EuroDIG, initially scheduled to be
hosted from 10-12 June in Trieste, Italy
https://www.eurodig.org/index.php?id=76. Due to the ongoing COVID-19
pandemic, EuroDIG is looking at the possibilities to host the meeting
online. This applies to YOUthDIG, as well.

We will inform you about their final decision.

Also, there are indications that several other NRIs meetings will be
postponed (Russian IGF and Russian Youth IGF confirmed). I will inform
as soon as final decisions are received from the NRIs colleagues.

*Extended safety measures across Europe*

The Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics, as well as
most institutions in Northern Italy and many across Europe, had to
extend its emergency measures to slow down the spread of COVID-19. As
they reach until summer, EuroDIG cannot convene in Trieste in June. This
makes a remote meeting very realistic, as there are currently no plans
to cancel or postpone EuroDIG2020. The EuroDIG Partners together with
the Secretariat now look into the details and possibilities of a virtual
conference. As ICANN67 was recently held completely remotely as well, we
will consult on this experience, and assess the lessons learned for
EuroDIG. 

YOUthDIG is likely to also be transferred to an online programme. All
selected participants will be notified.

We believe that this experience can open new ways of collaboration and
connection. We are looking forward to explore those together with you
and the whole EuroDIG Community. We will keep you posted on any relevant
news.

We hope you stay safe and healthy! We especially wish our friends in
Italy all the best!
