[Euro-board] Board elections

Good evening everybody.
I acknowledge Sébastien’s comment earlier today in the EURALO teleconference that we are short of candidates for the Board, while at the same time facing the problem of lack of diversity. In particular we have a couple of problems, that are the limitation to one person per country - we have two candidates for France - and the limitation to one person per ALS - the individual users are all formally belonging to one ALS.
My personal opinion is that we should take the time to think about the situation. After all, the sky is not falling on earth, because we have a Board that is still functioning and to have one or two weeks delay will not be a problem. Should we have a Board call to discuss these issues? In the current situation it would be much worse to take decisions in a hurry than to take the time to craft a good solution.
I defer to the Chair for a decision on this suggestion.
