Dear Olivier,

Indeed, if ITEMS were right, there would be a long queue of people for this job...

I  dont think that the Secretariat job is unattractive as such, but it is seen to involve a lot of work, and even more important, to require deep knowledge of the At Large and EURALO processes and procedures. This means that relative newcomers don't dare to apply and usual suspects already have to wear too many hats...

Perhaps we could encourage someone younger to apply by promising that mentoring help would be available from the previous incumbent(s)?

Dear EURALO Board,

it is quite critical that, so far, not a single person has been
nominated, or self nominated, for the position of EURALO Secretariat. In
the light of the At-Large Review report which mentions that volunteers
are finding it hard to be selected at positions of responsibility in the
At-Large ALAC-RALO-ALS structure, I find it ironic that for this region,
being involved in At-Large and leading a region is seen as being so
unattractive.
I'd be interested in your view on this and how we can fix this problem.
Furthermore, do you have anyone you'd like to nominate?

announce a call for nominations for the *EURALO's Secretariat position*.

The nomination period will start on *Monday September 4 until Friday
