Hello Nick,

thank you for your kind reply to my enquiry.
I was unaware of the delay in getting the printer ready EURALO flyer to you. I was under the impression that the deadline for submission was end of August 2009.

I didn't bring At-Large flyers because I don't have a stock of them here, I believed my colleagues in Global Partnerships were bringing them, as they routinely do so. Unfortunately they didn't this time. I am checking with them about the issue.

That was very unfortunate. We do need to tighten things about this. Perhaps having a policy that any material will be shipped to the venue in advance, would be a better alternative, so we know what's there?

However, your larger question seems to be (correct me if I'm wrong, please): "Why doesn't ICANN have more material that's attractive and well-put together describing its multistakeholder model and how various stakeholder communities can get involved in it" - if this is the question you are asking, perhaps Scott knows the answer to what we do have available of that kind.

I have suggested to Scott in a separate email that he meets with ALAC in Seoul to discuss what's required and to set-up procedures on getting this information to the venues. IMHO, we need to put this process on paper. Scott explained that ICANN has scarce marketing & advertising resources/knowledge, but I hope that he is able, and allowed by the leadership, to expand this activity/role. In today's media-frenzied world, accountability is as much about being accountable, as appearing to be, and publicising it.

Kindest regards,

Olivier
