Hi,

As I understand the background, Danny is a long time critic of the
whole ALS system. So if he was looking for data points to reinforce
his stance, Euralo probably presented a rather soft target. I
wouldn't get too vexed about his message, and given its sardonic
humor etc don't think a defensive reply is really merited. But it
would be good to address the core problem that leaves Euralo open to
such criticisms.

Since many of us seem to be maxxed out with too many commitments, it
would make sense to leap at any expressions of actual willingness to
work. If Rudi feels he could devote some head space to catalyzing
Euralo efforts, I would support giving him the space/mandate to do
so. I don't have time right now to dig out and bylaws and don't
recall if such eventualities are addressed, but given Jeanette's
resignation one would think we could replace her without a terribly
complex process...

That said, Rudy probably what Euralo needs most is not reporting on
other org's meetings, but rather some effort to organize Euralo
inputs on current ICANN issues, promote engagement by the ALS
members, etc, no...?

Best,

Bill
