[Euro-board] Paris Board meeting and documents

Dear Co-boards,

some weeks ago, I sent around a first draft Agenda for our General Assembly in Paris and filed it on the EURALO-ICANN At Large Europe Workspace. In the meantime, I had the chance to discuss and slightly revise the draft Agenda after discussions with the Staff and the ALAC Chair. The latest up-date you can find at our Workspace

To enable a smooth and effective conduct of our GA we need to discuss most of the Agenda-items (12 drafted so far) in advance at our foreseen Board meeting in the morning of Saturday, 21st June 08. A first *draft Agenda for our Board meeting* you can find attached. The main objective – besides having our first F2F-meeting since this Board was elected – is to prepare and a prior discussion of the GA-Agenda points.

As you can see from TOP 4 of the Board Agenda, I prepared a *draft of a Board’s report 2007-08* reflecting the personal impressions of the Co-Chair so far and which remains the “Chair report” as long as it is not discussed and approved by you. I hope that we may accomplish this step until Paris or at the Board meeting – latest! – prior to the GA.

Attached please find a *EURALO Budget proposal for the ICANN Fiscal Year 2008-09* which I had to submit to the ALAC Budget Committee at the end of April this year (referring to TOP 8 of the GA-Agenda). This is another point to be discussed and approved at our meeting.

As I suppose that the majority of you will travel to and arrive in Paris in the afternoon or early evening of Friday, 20th June, I would like to suggest to have a first informal dinner in the evening and take the chance to socialise ;-). As we are probably all accommodated in the same hotel/Novotel-Montparnasse, this shouldn’t be difficult to organise at the spot. I encourage all those of you who have not noted their arrivals yet to do this as soon as possible at our Workspace under
