The reinstatement of voting At Large members in the ICANN Board is 
something on which some of us have been working hard since the reform 
process of 2002 - it took a long time, but now it happened. I would say 
that 1 member over ~20 is still not enough, but it will be up to future 
participants to improve.

I hope that the At Large will give a further proof of maturity by 
sending to the Board a great appointee - if possible, someone with very 
high standing and credibility even outside ICANN circles. This could be 
an invaluably precious chance to broaden the reach of the At Large and 
to promote new participation. Be sure not to miss it.
