I don't see any compelling reason to move ahead with the gTLDs that have
already applied. They knew when they applied that the process was very
risky and any outcome was highly speculative, so I have no sympathy at all
for complaints about how much money they've sent. The fiasco with .XXX
tells me that trying to do special cases for them is as likely as not to
cause more confusion that will slow down the process even more.
