It was in keeping with the sentiments that I had understood at that 
time, and today as well. It was not a statement of 100% support, but 
rather that we would be better off with the amendments than without. 
The rest of the discussion made it clear that the amendments were not 
100% satisfactory to many of the people present.

If I was wrong (to be discussed at the ALAC meeting tomorrow), I will 
certainly retract my comments.
