[At-Large] [ALAC-Internal] Call for nominations to ALAC Liaison and Appointment Positions for 2008 - 2009

Hi Evan
We never got asked for a LIAISON to that committee. I am sure Cheryl can 
attempt to negotiate one, but from what I see, no other group has such a 
liaison. We were asked to provide names for the President's 
consideration, and Pierre was appointed by the President to his Strategy 
Committee, and he serves at the President's pleasure.  That was in the 
Morocco meeting, if my memory serves me right - Annette was Chair. So as 
far as I know there is NO PRECEDENT for a liaison. Obviously there is a 
mistake on the wiki.
Of course if you want to follow their work and consolidate and report 
back to the At Large on what they are doing, I certainly support that, 
but I don't see any formal role for liaison without the PSC's agreement, 
and for us to request one when I don't think others have any would IMO 
be a waste of our time.
