While I am not a member of ALAC, I implore you to select, for your
executive, from amongst the members that were sent by RALOs. They have a
level of accountability that does not exist for the NomComm appointees,
and by definition an understanding of the At-Large community culture
that is likely lacking in people brought into ALAC from other
constituencies.

The primary goal of ALAC is to represent the grassroots public interest
to ICANN. It can do this best when its leaders come from within that
grassroots.

In any case, how about giving some opportunities to (relative) ICANN
newcomers? The RALO reps already come from positions of leadership in
their respective ALSs, so there are no complete novices here.
