[At-Large] Election of the ALAC Liaison to the ICANN Board ofDirectors - result ?

Though at serious risk of producing a set of worldwide groans, I would
be remiss in my obligations if I were not to further point out that once
a vote is underway, withdrawing of proposals which are the object of the
vote would be pretty much universally seen as not in good order.

My sincere hope is that a bunch of the members of ALAC will take the
time today to quickly vote on the two proposals which were put up on
BigPulse last night, which once again are:

1) Should the two ALAC members who did not vote get the chance to do so?
2) Should the vote for the ALAC Liaison remain final and the results be
announced forthwith

The vote closes at 23:59 tonite so we could then have a result of the
Board Liaison election announced very quickly (indeed, if a plurality
are in favour of option 2, providing I can get online for long enough, I
could post the link to the BigPulse results of the ALAC Liaison vote
Saturday).

I'm sure everyone would like to see this particular issue decided as
quickly as possible (for what it is worth, I join you in that
sentiment....)

After very careful considration and some re-thinking, and
given the fact that Alan alreday decided not to vote, I would like
to withdraw my seconding the proposal to allow two person
who did not vote to vote. I support just announce the result
immediately now.

sorry for the confusion, and as I stated earlier, this is not
the biggest issue ALAC should spend much time and
energy now, so let's close it - I hope Jaqcueline, our Chair
will take this into closure.
