I gather that there is great pressure in some quarters to grandfather 
aliases for gTLDs so that Verisign would get every name that means 
"business" or "network" in any language, Tralliance would get every name 
that means "travel", and so forth.  Since silence means consent at ICANN 
(and as often as not, loud screaming opposition means consent anyway), it 
would be a good idea to say explicitly whether we think that's a good idea 
and why not.
