[ALAC] Policy Areas Under Review - Presentation of Information

Dear Community:

FYI, let there be no doubt that we are aware that the current way that
information on policy reviews and processes is presented is very difficult
to navigate.

In particular, I have told the other staff that the point we need to get to
with the presentation of this information is that the Individual Internet
User community should be able to find, in 15 minutes, online:

1) What policies are being reviewed;
2) How the policy development processes work;
3) What the issues are (not requiring the reading, in the first instance, of
large documents)
4) How to participate

We are all aware that we are not at this point, and I am sure that new and
candidate ALSes must find it difficult to get to the bottom of what is
happening.

At the same time, I know that there are many in the community who are
particularly knowledgeable about where given areas of policy development are
currently at.

Would it be possible to ask the older hands to provide a short intro to
where things are, with (if possible) a few links for those interested to get
further information?
